Vintage Oak Library card catalogue Drawer...1950-70..SOLD

This vintage drawer box is made of solid oak.  The drawer front has 'dovetail' joints and the edges of the box is curved.  The oak seams on the box have separated slightly due to age.  I love this drawer box just as it is but another option is to sand it down and give it a coat of sealer.  Take a closer look at the details of the drawer box: the key hole (no key), label handle, the oak division/support in the drawer that slides back and forth and lastly the manufacture label just below the drawer: 'The 'Portland' System, Ryman, London'.  The division could be removed and a solid piece of thin wood or masonite fitted into the base of the drawer.
