and not blue!
A beautiful small 1960's Gresley ware dish with a design called 'Over the Hill' designed by Tom Arnold. I love the pastel colours! I could not capture the correct colour of pale green of the lid in my photos! The green is the same as this colour font!
'An unusual move in 1964 was to name a pattern the same as a previous design back in 1930, the only time that this was ever recorded at T G Green.
'Over the Hill' was a successful Art Deco design in 1930. In 1964 Tom Arnold arrived at T G Green and designed this pattern, taking influence of new town designs in England at the time and geometric in confluence, this time Over the Hill was a transfer print underglaze on the Gresley Ware shape.'
